The site provides a link to an applet that allows one to simulate dropping a needle once, ten times, one-hundred times, or one-thousand times. One also has control over the length of the needle. Aside from the applet, the author provides an introduction, the simplest case, other cases, a brief series of questions and references. This is a nice case study of one statistical problem.
