Description: This activity provides a demonstration of Bernoulli’s principle as a floating card or a paper plate responds to the low pressure created by moving air. A small and a large-scale version of the activity are available along with an explanation of what happens. The site also contains a description of how atomizers like carburetors and airbrushes work and why train windows are sometimes sucked out of their frames. Materials needed and assembly instructions are also given. This activity is part of Exploratorium's Science Snacks series.
