Description: The Department of Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center has compiled a wide range of pathology case studies to aid students and instructors in learning. In this case, a two-year-old boy was admitted to the emergency room after being exposed to a household insecticide. A lengthy clinical history, and laboratory results are provided, as well as additional information on gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy, cholinesterase, acetylcholinesterase, and dibucaine inhibition.
