Description: This panel of scientists and writers addresses the quest for a 'Theory of Everything' that could explain how the universe began. Are we on the verge of that holy grail of science, a single theory that explains everything from planets to atomic particles; and if we ever get there, will it be the end, or the beginning of physics? The video explains the three generations of matter; how black holes may play a role in the unification of the theories of general relativity and quantum mechanics; how computer simulations are being used to understand large-scale structure in the universe; and how the fundamental forces of the universe may be related. The video is 29 minutes in length.
