This classroom module will give students "an overview of the standard specification for additive manufacturing file format." Students will learn to define and explain terminology related to additive manufacturing file formats and compare and contrast .stl and .amf file formats. This lesson is intended to be delivered primarily through a lecture and class discussion format and should take approximately 1 hour. Evaluation questions are included, and the information can be adapted for high school and early college students.
