This site, from the Viticulture and Enology Science and Technology Alliance, offers presentations and slides from the lectures of VIN 146, Introduction to Enology with John Giannini. VIN 146 contains 14 lectures: "An Overview of Winemaking," "Blending and Aging," "Bottling," "Calculations," "Clarification," "Fermentation," "Introduction to Enology," "Juice and Wine Analysis," "Protein Stability," "Sanitation," "Spoilage," "Tartrate Stability," "Wine Composition and Types," and "Winery Equipment." These lectures range from eight to 14 minutes each, and focus on presenting an introductory overview of the entire winemaking process. Each topic includes a multimedia presentation of the lecture, with slides. Users must have Microsoft's Silverlight installed to view the presentations. |
